Bloomberg Connects

The Project

During my time at Dia Art Foundation, I had the privilege of participating in their Enrichment Program, where I worked closely with the Communications Department on a project for Bloomberg Connects. My role centered around developing Dia’s guide on the app, and I pulled from my experience as a gallery attendant at Dia Beacon to inform the layout to enhance visitor experience.

Visitor Centered Design

With over 150,000 square feet of gallery space at Dia Beacon, I recognized the importance of creating a user-friendly guide that would help visitors navigate the space with ease. I focused on developing a layout that highlighted key locations, provided clear directions, and answered frequently asked questions. The sections I created within the app were specifically designed to address common challenges visitors faced, ensuring they could fully enjoy their experience at Dia.

Guide Launch

To announce the launch of Dia’s guide, I created a blog post for the Dia website to reach Dia’s visitors and members, and collaborated with Bloomberg Connects to promote the guide’s availability through Instagram posts.

Conclusion

At the conclusion of my internship, I presented the app’s features to other gallery attendants, equipping them with the knowledge to promote and assist visitors with the Bloomberg Connects app.

This project not only allowed me to hone my skills in user experience design but also showcased my ability to create content that is both informative and intuitive for users. It’s a prime example of how I approach design, always with the user’s experience at the forefront.
